What is the GITA program about?

Well, for starters, the program is split into four years. Each year covers a new programing language, as well as differnt topic. For example, this year we are learning how to create games with javascript, while last year we created websites with HTML. The main object of the GITA program is not only to learn how to use multiple languages, but to improve problem solving and time management. For each assingment, we are given a prompt and are to create a project with our own coding knowledge based on that prompt. Occationally we are given lectures to help create the projects.

What are you learning this year?

So far this year, we have learned how to create "objects" (shapes), text, how to move objects and text, as well as creating buttons. We have created projects that involve moving shapes, rotating shapes/text, and using buttons so far. In the future we are to learn how to use these functions more practically, as well as efficiently.

In the future I plan to go to either a four year collage, or start with a community collage then transfer into a collage. curently, I think that I will persue computer science because right now it is my favorite thing to study at school, at I actually have fun creating many projects involving computer science. This year (2nd year) of highschool, the only ap class I took was ap european history. In the future I plan to join ap calculus and ap computer science. So far this year (and the previous year) I have not been involved with any clubs or comunity service. I might join or create a club next year, and if not, I will definetly obtain some comunity service hours.
